Providing false information or false identification to a Law Enforcement Officer is a first degree misdemeanor punishable by imprisonment up to 1 year and $1,000 in fines.
If there is a victim adversely affected by the false information, it is a third degree felony punishable by imprisonment up to 5 years.
In either case, the Court may also order court costs, fines, and require the payment of restitution.
